What happens when my tank is full of water?
When you tank or barrel fills, there is a device called an overflow which allows water to exit the barrel and travel along the route it would normally take. (i.e.drain, dispered through lawn)

How much rain will it take to fill my system?
As a general rule, a 1500sq ft roof or catchment area will yield 900 gallons of pure water in a one inch rain fall!

Yes, start small and add on later as you get comfortable with the concept of catching or harvesting rainwater.

No, the barrels or cisterns are designed to withstand the winter weather. However, depending on your exact locations, some of the hardware may need to be winterized.

What kind of regular maintenance does a rainwater system require and do you offer a service plan?
A system will require periodic checks on the filtration (if equipped) and your gutters should remain free of debris build up to ensure water passes freely. Ascot does offer service agreements to ensure your collection is system is operating at an optimum level.

How will my municipality know I am using rainwater during restrictions?
Signage is available to let your neighbors and your municipality (especially if restricted) that you are utilizing rainwater for irrigation and/or washing cars etc.
